Best Proposal Contest

My fiancé Thom and I always had a standing joke about getting married. He would always say why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free. I had bought him a stuffed cow about 6 years ago as a birthday present. Last September we went to Virginia to attend his nephew's wedding and decided to make a vacation out of it and went on to Washington, D.C.

On our last night in D.C. there was a knock at our hotel door and Thom answered it a staff member came in carrying a glass of milk and she said this is for you. I thought what the heck is going on. Then another staff member came in with a room service tray and I was just about to say they had the wrong room and Thom said we are having roast beef for dinner. I was like cool he order room service, how nice (but I still did not understand the glass of milk).

After they left Thom started talking about how long we had been together and things were really looking up for us and took a drink of the milk and had me take a drink. He then said go ahead and see what I had them bring us for dinner. I opened the tray and there was the stuffed cow I had bought him and on one of the horns was an engagement ring.

I was in total shock number one that he was proposing and number two that he had brought that stuffed cow all the way from home. We are getting married October 7, 2006 and plans are on the way.

Thanks!!
