Best Proposal Contest

Matthew and I met during our freshman year of college. I saw him on the first day of school and I knew he would one day be my husband. Because he did not know who I was, I had to make the first move. I would stare at him whenever I saw him and I was not discrete about it. Being a freshman in college, I was very shy and I would have never had the courage to talk to him if it was not for my friends. They dragged me over to this suite, made me knock on his door, and ask if he was there. Unfortunately, he was home for the weekend visiting his girlfriend! I left my name and number on the dry/erase board outside his door, hoping that he would call me. Several days past and I got a call! We began spending time together as friends, because he did have a girlfriend back home, but their relationship was not going well. Soon after, he ended things with his girlfriend and we started dating. Four years later and I am still breathless when I see him.
Our relationship has been a struggle because he lives in Buffalo, NY and I live in Pittsburgh. Our whole relationship has been long distance, besides the time we spent at college together. I had no idea that this Christmas would finally put an end to the distance between us. We went to New York City as my Christmas present. He had tickets to ice skate at Rockefeller Center and to see an ice show after. Around 10 pm I heard the announcement for everyone to clear the ice. I was ready and excited for the ice show, but for some reason we were not getting off the ice. Our song started playing and thousands of people started staring at us. The next thing I knew, Matthew as down on his near asking me to marry him in front of thousands of people in New York City. This was the best moment of my life so far. I knew that he would one day be my husband and now it is going to be forever...
